Thank you so much for taking the time to participate in this with me! As a reminder, this is just a truthful look into the balance of motherhood and being an artist at heart.  It’s about the mother’s ability to prioritize herself and her expression. It’s an open conversation. There are NO wrong answers whatsoever!  Also, your answers will probably change over time, so I’m just looking for your perspective on where you’re at right now.  Please try your best to be open about the challenges and struggles you’ve come across or face daily, that part is super important to me. Let me know if there are any other questions or topics you’d like to discuss in addition to :

  1. Introduce yourself.

  2. Share one or two of your favorite projects / artworks and tell us what you like most about it (the process, the outcome, the materials, anything!)

  3. Which came first for you : mother or maker? When?

  4. Has your art style or your personal identity changed since you became a mother?

  5. What’s your daily routine look like?

  6. What does your workspace look like?

  7. How often do you find time to create?

  8. Do you find it easy to switch on and off between mother and maker?

  9. Do you have any rituals that help you get into your creative mindset?

  10. Talk about transitions to allowing others to care for your child or starting school - how is / was that for you?

  11. Who are your influences or who are you inspired by?

  12. Consider your child as a piece of art. What have you made?

  13. Do you have any words of wisdom to other Mothers+Makers?
